  • TCD Program Selection

  • TCD programs offer dual credit opportunities for students who qualify and maintain required grades and attendance.  Students who do not maintain the required grades or exceed the number of days absent allowed for their program will be dropped from dual credit.  Students will remain enrolled in TCD but will receive high school credit only.

  • TCD's Cosmetology program is for students interested in pursuing pathways from hair design/cutting and color to skincare, makeup, and an IL Cosmetology license for those students who qualify.  While we are actively exploring the possibility of offering barbering, nail technology, and esthetics in the future, we do not currently offer the curriculum required to obtain these licenses.

    TCD's Cosmetology program charges fees for students' cosmetology tools kits and the summer school session in addition to the TCD student participation fee.

    Cosmetology students are required to maintain a 75% in both academics and attendance per the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation.

    Cosmetology students who do not meet IDFPR requirements at the end of the 1st semester will not be able to return for 2nd semester per IDFPR regulations.

    Students are required to attend the 8 week summer session after their 1st year in order to meet the hours and curriculum requirements to attend the 2nd year program.  Students who do not meet these requirements will not be able to return for a 2nd year.

    Extra hours opportunities are available however the Technology Center of DuPage cannot guarantee students participating in Cosmetology will obtain 1500 hours during the two year program.

    The Cosmetology program requires students to have a valid social security number in order to register for the IL Licensed Cosmetologist exam after completing two years of TCD's program.

    Cosmetology students are required to wear a uniform in order to receive their daily hours.

    • Shirts and pants sizes are extra small to 5XL.
    • Pants come in petite (under 5 ft tall), regular, and tall (over 5 feet, 10 inches tall).

     

  • The Nursing Assistant Training Program at TCD requires students:

    1. To be at least 16 years old by August 28, 2026.
    2. Have a valid social security number by August 28, 2026.
    3. Have a valid state issued ID by August 28, 2026.
    4. Students will need to submit a completed 7 or more panel urine drug screen test by August 28, 2026 in order to be eligible for clinicals.
    5. Will need to have a completed physical exam dated January 1, 2026 onward.
    6. Will need to have a 2 step TB skin test or QuantiFERON Gold blood draw by AUgust 28, 2026.
    7. Have their own transportation to and from clinical sites.

  • The Emergency Medical Technician program requires students to be high school seniors, be current with all required vaccinations & other health requirements, have healthcare coverage, and pass a mandatory background check and drug screen.

    A valid social security number is required to take the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) exam.

  • Media Release

    I hereby acknowledge and grant permission for representatives of Technology Center of DuPage and its governing body (DuPage Area Occupational Education System or DAOES) to use my student's image, voice, and/or identification information for educational, informational, or promotional purposes. This may include release to the news media, posting on the TCD/DAOES websites or World Wide Web, or use in TCD/DAOES publications, presentations, or displays.

    Images may include video recordings, photographs, digital images, negatives, or prints. Voice may include audio-video recordings, quotes, or testimonials. Identification information may include my name, hometown, high school, TCD program, grade level, honors/awards, or activities related to my TCD program.

  • Directory Information Release

    The primary purpose of directory information is to allow Technology Center of DuPage to include information from your child's education records in certain publications. This information can include: student name, mailing address, telephone listing, photograph, and/or grade level. The telephone listing will be used ONLY for student follow-up study.

    Notice for Directory Information
    The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a federal law, requires that
    Technology Center of DuPage, with certain exceptions, obtain a parent’s/guardian’s
    written consent prior to the disclosure of personally identifiable information from your child’s education records. However, Technology Center of DuPage may disclose
    appropriately designated “directory information” without written consent, unless you have advised the school to the contrary. The primary purpose of directory information is to allow Technology Center of DuPage to include this type of information from your child’s education records in certain publications.

    TCD fees are separate and in addition to any fees charged by your student's school and must be paid directly to TCD.  Fees are subject to change.  By signing below you are agreeing to pay TCD's fees for your student to attend here.

    TCD’s EMT program is for seniors interested in becoming Emergency Medical Technicians. 

    Students taking the National Registry Exam are required to be evaluated for the affective domain.  The affective domain evaluates an EMT’s professional attributes and qualities, including but not limited to, attendance, attentiveness, attitude, professionalism, teamwork, and reception of criticism.

    EMT is a one year program.

    TCD's Fire Science program is for students interested in pursuing a career in fire protection and emergency services.

  • This student has selected HVAC & Refrigeration / Residential Wiring as their first choice.

    TCD's HVAC/Res Wiring program is for students interested in a broad range of topics relevant to a challenging and constantly changing industry.

  • This student has selected Manufacturing, CNC & Machining Technology as their first choice.

    TCD's Manufacturing program is for students interested in all metal, plastic, and electronic parts, products, and systems

  • This student has selected Medical Assisting as their first choice. This program is for SENIORS ONLY.

    TCD’s Medical Assisting class is for those seniors interested in becoming Certified Medical Assistants or patient advocates.

    Medical Assisting is a one year program.

    TCD's Multimedia program is for students who are driven to be creative, passionate storytellers who use their skills to create all types of content, from TV and film to social media.
