TCD's Cosmetology program is for students interested in pursuing pathways from hair design/cutting and color to skincare, makeup, and an IL Cosmetology license for those students who qualify. While we are actively exploring the possibility of offering barbering, nail technology, and esthetics in the future, we do not currently offer the curriculum required to obtain these licenses.
TCD's Cosmetology program charges fees for students' cosmetology tools kits and the summer school session in addition to the TCD student participation fee.
Cosmetology students are required to maintain a 75% in both academics and attendance per the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation.
Cosmetology students who do not meet IDFPR requirements at the end of the 1st semester will not be able to return for 2nd semester per IDFPR regulations.

Extra hours opportunities are available however the Technology Center of DuPage cannot guarantee students participating in Cosmetology will obtain 1500 hours during the two year program.
